UPDATE: Check out this article from Mashable to find out about the changes announced during the f8 Conference.
With over 750 million users, Facebook is the biggest social media network in the world. Many people use the platform to connect with friends and family but we can also see businesses becoming more dependent on social networks like Facebook to connect with their prospects and customers.
Facebook users have recently seen a stream of changes to the platform and apprently more drastic changes are coming very soon. The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this month that Facebook is preparing changes designed to make the site a hub for listening to music, watching movies and playing videogames.
Ben Parr from Mashable also wrote on their website:
“I have seen what Facebook is launching on Thursday, and it’s going to change the world of social media. And while I won’t talk about the mind-boggling things Facebook will be launching, I will say this: The Facebook you know and (don’t) love will be forever transformed. The news that will come out of Facebook during the next few weeks will be the biggest things to come out of the company since the launch of the Facebook Platform.”
The changes will be announced today at 12:30pm EST (9:30am PT) during the f8 conference. You can watch Live right here:
f8 is Facebook’s Conference for developers, entrepreneurs and innovators building a more social web by defining tomorrow’s websites, apps and devices.
